The museum is still under construction, but the renovation work in the Katharinenhalle has already been completed and you can see a great collection of different aspects of the sea on 3 floors.
The Oceanographic Museum is not yet finished, but it is clear that the whole thing will reach a modern and impressive level.
A beautiful location that has been renovated in an interesting way. The new building with an impressive large aquarium is still under construction and will lead into the modernized aquarium cellar in the future.

The Maritime Museum in Stralsund's old town is definitely worth a visit. It is located in the St. Catherine's Monastery.
From January 2021 it will be closed for extensive renovation work until spring 2023.
