Although Hochdorf was first mentioned in documents in 1204, both prehistoric and protohistoric finds, as well as Roman finds and traces of settlement suggest that they were formed as early as the fifth century. The "Dachsburg" stood west, direction Schietingen and was probably from 13/14. Century seat of the noble sex "von Hochdorf" whose name I lead to the representation. Known from these ranks and fallen in the Battle of Sempach on the part of the Habsburgs are the Knights Conrad, Dietrich and Hans von Hochdorf. From 1342 it probably belonged to Geroldseck and Sulz. From 1503 it was then finally Württembergisch and later also belonged to the Office Nagold.
