If you don't want to walk up the mountain, take the gondola. Getting started is easy since it drives very slowly. On the way up there is a stopover here you can only get on or off on the way up.

The 10-person gondola Hartkaiser transports guests from the valley station in Ellmau (820m) directly into the hiking and skiing paradise of the Hartkaiser (at 1550m). With an incomparable view of the Kaisergebirge the ride on the modern gondola lift becomes a special experience. The mountain station is in summer an ideal starting point for numerous hiking and walking trails. In addition, rustic mountain huts and cottages provide culinary delights on the mountain and invite you to rest and enjoy. Directly at the mountain station of the Hartkaiserbahn is the world of experience Ellmi's magic world. The 4,000 square meter children's play park with a carving hut, petting zoo, climbing castle and many other adventure stations will delight young and old visitors throughout the summer.
