        The first section of the road is forbidden for cyclists, you have to take the cycle path that runs a few meters above the road into the gorge. You drive additional vertical meters, but you have a good view from above :-)

          Funny, there was a sign on the main road, which diverted the bicycle traffic on this route (maybe because of the ongoing work). The route is only for cyclists. A little more effort for a great view😅. But I saved myself on the way back because all the cyclists drove on anyway.

            Too narrow, 4 tunnels, the first part of the Gorges du Guil is closed to cyclists, and they are redirected on this Route de la Viste.

            No road traffic, beautiful views of the gorges.

              This variant of the main road allows you to avoid a certainly spectacular stretch of the climb towards Chateau Queyras, but also rather dangerous for cyclists, due to the narrow carriageway, the lack of escape routes and the numerous tunnels and bottlenecks that meet. After Guillestre the detour is indicated (turn right, at the next crossroads turn left). One hundred meters of additional climb must be taken into account to complete the variant and also the sometimes bumpy bottom.
