The village of Cran is a beautiful architectural ensemble. Around the chapel, stone country houses stand next to a Louis XIII-style mansion. The bread oven has been recently restored.
The Calvary is in the form of a banner with a pietà at the foot. It dates from the 16th century.
A first chapel would have been built in the 12th century by the Templars who depended on Grego en Surzur. It was served by the red monks, as in Limerzel, so called by the color of their coat. The crossing of the transept is the oldest part. It supports a square tower and has sculpted capitals from the 13th century. In the 14th century, it was an important place of pilgrimage and legend reports many miracles. The chapel is dedicated to Notre-Dame de Bon Secours, like that of Kercohan.
It was transformed in the 15th and 16th centuries, with Gothic style elements such as pinnacles. The south door is in the Renaissance style, in a basket handle surmounted by an accolade.
Often open, it is therefore possible to see inside the beautiful wooden framework, the black and white checkered paving, the large wall paintings from the end of the 16th century which tell the story of the lives of the saints and the carved sand pits. The font appears to be a reused Gallic stele.
The chapel is classified as Historical Monuments.
A little out of the way, the fountain bears the date 1740 with its heart-shaped spillway.
