          This pedestrian suspension bridge was inaugurated in spring 2020 and offers an impressive perspective halfway between the Rawyl dam and Crans-Montana. The new suspension bridge of the Bisse du Ro now allows hikers to make this mythical hike in complete safety.

          This hiking trail used to run along the rock face. Since June 2020, the pedestrian suspension bridge, over 70 m high, 80 cm wide and 120 m long, bypasses this critical point. The construction of this impressive work is the result of a project that began in 2011 and took 9 years to complete. Its aim is to make the hiking trail safer, in line with the original goal of restoring the Bisse du Ro. Only suitable for people who are not afraid of heights.

                      Built in the 14th century, it was completely piped in the middle of the 20th century. It used to be called the "Bisse d'Amont" (Upper Bisse). Signs along the path explain the social organization of the bisse and the irrigation rules. The bisse has been completely renovated in recent years.

                      Total length: 5 km

                      Altitude: between 1700 and 1450 m above sea level

                      Hiking time: around 3 hours without return.

                      Location: Plan Mayens above Crans-Montana, Tzeusier reservoir, on the right side of the Rhone valley. From Tzeusier you can continue hiking on the Bisse d'Ayent.

                      Level of difficulty: The Bisse de Ro leads through impressive vertical rock faces and the path is only suitable for people who don't suffer from vertigo.
