At the site of today's Roman Park was the Roman period, the lordly residence of a squire, a so-called villa urbana. It included a luxurious Mediterranean-style living area and an agricultural and craft sector. The dimensions of the 5.5-acre property are now marked in the area. Where the main Roman home stood, today's Roman Museum was built. In this museum are reconstructed parts of the house and many excavation finds to visit. Right next to the Roman Museum is the Villa Artis. It was modeled after one of the Roman agricultural buildings, the granary. The new building is today almost at the original location of the Roman memory. Villa artis houses the Café artis and an art and cultural center. In 2014, the Roman Park was added to the Roman playground.
