When walking through partly stony and steep terrain you should already be equipped with good footwear and towards the end of the path is also a certain surefootedness helpful. In the preseason you have this beautiful spot mostly for yourself and can enjoy the beautiful view relaxed.

Southernmost mainland in Europe. Sturdier footwear than flip-flops required because very stony way. Duration about 1h. Is rewarded with a fabulous look. If you are lucky even without more hikers.

Iconic lighthouse on an elevated promontory at the tip of a narrow rocky cape sticking out far into the sea. Great views and spectacular sunsets. Yes, it is the southernmost point on mainland Greece, and secondmost on the European mainland, but it is worth coming here just for the dramatic location and beauty. The hike is short and the trail easy to follow without much elevation change, and no problem for most people able to walk on uneven, rocky surfaces.
