In the heart of the park landscape of the Ammerland, directly on the Zwischenahner Meer, the 14-hectare "Park of Gardens" - the further developed area of the first Lower Saxony state garden show (2002) - offers you a fascinating insight into garden culture.
Whether you want to relax, plan a trip or are looking for ideas for your own garden. Here, where the garden is at home, pure gardening pleasure awaits you in over 90 independent areas such as themed gardens, plant assortments and many other contributions. Almost 50,000 spring and summer flowers adorn the "flower band". As a colorful carpet, these colorful beds bring the different park areas in every season
flourishing in harmony with each other. Enjoy the variety of flowers and discover your favorite garden or perhaps a whole new piece of yourself.
Garden lovers will find garden art from different eras, cultures and styles in over 40 themed gardens. And every year new fascinating gardens are added. The park changes its face every now and then and at the same time gains character. The "permanent features" of the park include 30 important plant collections, such as the impressive rhododendron park with its sound islands, the unique daylily rondel or the heath garden, as well as the flower shows in the glass house.
Informative events on the subject of garden and nature as well as an entertainment program offer a varied season every year. So you can e.g. B. Expand your gardening knowledge at the Niedersächsische Gartenakademie located in the park or take part in guided tours (by prior arrangement).
The stage under the expertly curved tent roof is also home to a colorful group of small and large artists. Cultural accents are repeatedly set here, especially during special evening events. The younger park visitors don't miss out either, because play areas can be found everywhere in the park.
