Back then, the Stockenstieg was the only connection the lighthouse keeper could take to his work place through the salt marshes.

The historic pad is now a listed building!

Please help to protect him.

To get it there are some rules ...

- The path may only be walked by pedestrians from the lighthouse -> dike

- Bicycles, prams, handcarts or similar may not be carried

- The salt marshes next to the clinker stones may not be entered

A large warning sign draws attention to these rules. A turnstile was even installed. Nevertheless, tourists repeatedly ignore this request and climb over the gate with children and cones.

The narrow pad has the size of a freeway in some areas, since a large part of the salt marshes were flattened on the left and right.

The path is sometimes closed to protect the breeding birds. Be careful .... the path is only accessible in one direction.
