    One kilometer section of the Ruta del Cares. To remove the hiccups. The path is narrow and the views are incredible. I just wanted time to stop!

      This trail is a small part of the bigger trail in Picos de Europa called Ruta del Cares from Poncebos (Asturia, Spain) through Cain (12 km) ending in Posada de Valdeón (Castille and León, Spain) (an additional 9 km) and vice versa.

      The trail itself is quite breathtaking.

        The walks through the Ruta del Care offer beautiful views through the gorge in many places. This place is a great example of that.

                Caution: This is not a circular route. The route along the river is not officially part of the Ruta del Cares and ends in a dead end. A sign warns of dangerous rock falls (which we experienced ourselves) and sloping paths. It's best to just follow the signs for Ruta Cares (approx. 3 hours).
