The village of Warrem (Warhem) is located in the middle of the plain of the Blootland in Maritime Flanders, somewhere between Sint-Winoksbergen and Hondschoote, southeast of Dunkirk. It is a village of 2135 inhabitants (2014 census). Two canals cross the territory from West to East : Canal des Glaises and Canal de la Basse-Colme. Warrem's grounds are ending. On the southwest side we are close to Westkappel at 22m, in the northeast it is 0 meters in what is called the Kleine Moeren.

The small Moeren (les Petites Moëres) on the northern edge of the village are part of the reclamation works that were started at the beginning of the 17th century under Wenceslas COBERGHER (1557 – 1634). He drained and drained these swamps by constructing a ring ditch of 32 km around the area. Windmills were built to pump the water over the dike and to drain the excess water to the sea. Even today, the two canals (Basse Colme and Glaises) serve to drain this area to the Mons Canal. Water therefore plays an important role in this village.

Centuries of sand deposition have given the soil of this region its typical colour. If this soil is used for the manufacture of bricks, they also get the typical brown-yellow color (sand bricks) that you can see everywhere in the houses and that creates the typical warm atmosphere of Warrem.

The church dedicated to Our Lady of the Assumption is built of sand brick. It is a hall church recognized as a historical monument since 2006 with particularly valuable furnishings.

The tranquility of this village full of flowers overwhelms you. Life is good here thanks to the commitment of its inhabitants, its associations and the local economy (craftsmen, shopkeepers, farms). The most important linseed producer (flax) in Europe is located here.
