Alpage, or alp, is a practice that has been abandoned in the Val Grande National Park. But we find along the trails many remnants of the time when the herds went up to the mountain pastures in these mountains. These remains are essentially small sets of stone buildings where the herdsmen lived.
Alpe Pra is therefore one of them.
The Casa Dell'Alpino refuge was built right next to it, a few dozen meters away.
