The magnificent Col de la Forclaz has a Swiss feel. The view of Lake Annecy is absolutely superb and you will find a restaurant at the pass serving fondue and blueberry tart specialties.

Its name is appropriate and corresponds well to the idea that one has of a pass.

Forclaz in Savoyard dialect means passage in the mountains.

Not an easy climb from Lac d'Annecy. The last three kilometers were tough. It feels like a constant 10 percent to the summit. Therefore, it is better to start a little more carefully and leave grains for the last three kilometers.

Beautiful viewpoint at the top of the pass. From Talloire (north slope), the last 3 km are the hardest at 10%. On the Vesonne side (south slope) the climb is harder and more demanding
