It's fun and it's a good change during the hike. On your own, by pulling on a wire rope, you get to the other shore. It is not a big distance and easy to handle. A good and natural solution 👍 A rest area with benches is also available.

Very nice area, but the paths on the water marked on Komoot are obviously hardly accessible in winter, even in dry weather, at least not without high (!) Rubber boots or similar. In some places we sank into the mud pretty quickly (Dec. 2019), 10 - 15 - 20 cm - who knows how far that would have gone if we hadn't finally turned around. Anyway, it was pretty scary, especially since we had sunny, dry weather and it hadn't rained in 10 days.
