          Kallnünz is a picture-perfect village in the Upper Palatinate - everything fits here: the house in the rock, the Naab with bridge, a beautiful church and great gastronomy. But for people like me who live in the Oberland, the small town offers another secret. It was here that the Russian painter Kadinsky met Gabriele Münter and followed her to Murnau to make Bavaria a place of expressionism in the Oberland with the artist group "Der Blaue Reiter". It was only through the meeting with Münter and the resulting relationship that Kadinsky's typical painting style, for which he is famous today, developed. Without Kallmünz, Germany's art would be a lot poorer.
