      The palace has an entrance fee. The park is free to visit during opening hours. In my opinion, just seeing the palace from the outside is completely sufficient. Of course, if you want to learn more about the history of the Habsburgs, you should take a guided tour.

        Castle built by the Habsburgs and also frequented by Princess Sissi.
        The castle has a beautiful park which is very scenic even in winter. In general the park is very clean and well maintained.
        I recommend waiting for the sunset because the sun draws fantastic colors on the white walls of the castle and on the surface of the sea.

                      Miramare Castle is an elegant ivory-coloured building located on the Karst promontory of Grignano, 10 km from Trieste.
                      It was built between 1856 and 1860 on the orders of Archduke Maximilian of Habsburg and his wife Princess Charlotte of Belgium in an eclectic architectural style using white Pietra d'Istria, based on a design by the Austrian engineer Carl Junker.
