Laxenburg Monastery is a Roman Catholic monastery of the Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross in Laxenburg in Lower Austria. It was set up in 1935 in the former Palais Kaunitz-Wittgenstein and today houses an old people's and nursing home, a meditation and community center and the headquarters of the province of Vienna-Lower Austria. The monastery chapel was built by Ladislaus Hruska in 1958/59 and decorated by Josef Pabst.
Laxenburg Monastery is located near the Laxenburg Castle Park, which is the largest and one of the most important landscaped gardens in Austria. The castle park is known for the castle, castle park and Franzensburg. It is a popular destination for walkers, cyclists and families. In the castle park there is also a boat rental, a playground, a mini golf course and a restaurant.
