There is a footpath on the bridge only to the south. From the canal edge paths, ramps lead on three sides to the bridge. The zigzag path in the north-east ends in a cul-de-sac directly in front of a crash barrier. Steel rods hang down from the bridge arches, which carry the roadway via rotatable bolts (pivot points).
