Since the Schaalsee is located in the middle of the Schaalsee Biosphere Reserve, you are only allowed to jump into the water at designated swimming areas to refresh yourself. But there are enough of them, for example in Eechin, Dargow, Lassahn, near Seedorf and Großzecher. There is also a lido in Zarrentin on the Schaalsee.
The water quality is excellent throughout the lake. When you take a break, you can take a carefree swim in the cool water and really enjoy nature, which is ideally protected on this lake and can therefore unfold so wonderfully.
