The Klausenhof dates from 1424, making it one of the oldest houses in the Black Forest. The residential and commercial areas are under one roof, which is covered with straw. The building stood uninhabited in Herrischried-Großherrischwand for a long time and was in danger of falling apart. The house was saved in a complex operation. It has now been set up as an open-air museum and today shows the visitor as if the last residents had just left it. In addition, the parlor of the Klausenhof has occasionally had a very special function for some years. The cozy farmhouse parlor also serves as a wedding room for civil marriages. There is a very special flair here to make the word "yes" unforgettable. The interior of the smithy, the bakery and the farm garden can be viewed from outside and inside and offers interesting insights into the life and work of a bygone era. Affiliated to it is the Lindauer saw, the first documentary mention of which is dated 1595. It was in operation until 1950 and still works today.
