Oldenburg Air Base was a military airfield in Oldenburg and from 1964 to 1993 was the location of the 43rd Fighter Bomber Wing of the German Air Force. Today, part of the site is home to a solar park. A new district is being built on the part transferred to the city of Oldenburg - formerly a barracks area and hangars.
