The steep shore section Hohes Ufer runs between the southern outskirts of Ahrenshoop until shortly before the pier of Wustrow. From the main street in Ahrenshoop branches off at the southern end of the village in a westerly direction, the way to the Hohe Ufer. It leads straight to a beach access. Before the beach access turn left and get on the way on the high shore. It leads up to the cliff along and offers beautiful views of the partly very steep, partly by coastal breaks rugged cliffs.
The coastal crashes endanger the shore. Unfortunately, annual demolitions of 10 m are not uncommon, cause the long-term disappearance of the steep coast, thus threatening the land behind the shoreline and can cause the Baltic Sea breaks through the fish land to the Bodden. You can find out more about this on the side of the association Interessengemeinschaft (IG) Hohes Ufer e.V., which makes every effort to ensure effective protection of this stretch of coastline.
