            The small detour to the bird watching hut at the Pohnsdorfer Stauung is worthwhile. The Pohnsdorf dam is a wetland area of around 100 hectares. It is located in the protected landscape area No. 19 Postsee-Neuwuehrener Au-Klosterforst Preetz and the surrounding area.
            Not only many bird species have found their home here, but it is also an important spawning ground for amphibians.
