Křížový pramen is one of the many healing springs in Marienbad. It is one of the oldest and longest used springs in the city. The Cross Spring Pavilion is depicted on the emblem [1] that was granted to the city on June 1, 1866 by the privilege of the emperor. [2] Heavily mineralized and due to the presence of sulfates, it has a laxative effect. This source is sulfate bicarbonate sodium iron acid with an increased content of metasilic acid. It used to be called glacial or hydrochloric acid. The cause of the salty taste is the higher sodium content. It has a high solids content, especially salts.

The hotel is located in the spa town next to the colonnade. It rises below Masarykova Street in Skalníkovy sady. Because of its high salt content, it was originally called Slaný pramen. Its current name is after a wooden cross, which was built in 1749 by the Teplice pharmacy Damián Schultz near the source. [3]
