      Minerals from German sites of the famous Pohl-Ströher Mineral Foundation form a focal point. Special mineral grades from the geoscientific collections of the TU Bergakademie Freiberg as well as minerals from the university foundation “Mineralogische Sammlung Deutschland”, founded in 2008, were added.

      The new exhibition was excellently complemented by the loan of extraordinary tiers from private mineral collectors. Exquisite collector's items to complement the top-class exhibition are always welcome, so that in future this exhibition will live up to the claim of being a unique mineral show of national character.

              The Krügerhaus is the seat of the "Permanent Exhibition of German Minerals" and part of the terra mineralia exhibition. The Krügerhaus was completely renovated with funds from the Dr. Erich Krüger Foundation and public funds and contains minerals from German sites.

              The main exhibition terra mineralia with minerals, precious stones and meteorites from famous sites in Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa and America is located in the neighboring Freudenstein Castle.

                The terra mineralia is the largest mineral exhibition in the world with exhibits from all regions of the world. They were collected by Erika Pohl-Schröder and the TU Bergakademie Freiberg gave them on permanent loan in 2004. Since 2008, the minerals can be admired in Freudenstein Castle.
