Great view over the city ....

The Friedenswarte is located on Marienberg and was built in 1974. The tower has five glazed and five free observation decks.

The height of the Friedenswarte is 32.50 m and has a diameter of 8 m. The ascent and descent are via two separate spiral staircases within the tower, each with 180 steps.

From the Friedenswarte you can enjoy a wonderful view of the layouts of the three districts Dom, Altstadt and Neustadt. The medieval buildings can be seen from here very well and in sunshine it is possible high objects up to a distance of 60 km

The former BUGA site in 2015 is still worth a visit today. The site is very well-kept and from the Friedenswarte (180 steps) built in 1974 you have a wonderful view of the city. It is the highest vantage point.
After the hardships of the ascent, you can have a good meal in the restaurant next door.
