More specifically, a Buddhist temple on the corner of Kamenzer and Braunstraße.
The temple colors red and white are typical of Buddhism. Red stands for the colors of life: blood, fire and love. White is the color of light, of origin and of purity.
A large garden designed according to the Feng Shui principle surrounds the pagoda, with small temples, a pond and a giant Buddha statue.
It is planned that after completion about ten monks will live there. The operators of the Verein Vietnamesische Buddhistische Gemeinde Leipzig are concerned with preserving the Vietnamese culture and giving people the opportunity to practice the teachings of the Buddha.
This Leipzig would have another attraction, the first pagoda new building in East Germany.
