An original artist's dream
If we go back to the 19th century in 1885, Philippe Audibert, an artistic genius from Bonnieulais, (Grand Prix de Rome de sculpture), had the desire to build a tower in order to realize a buried dream: to have a magnificent panorama with stunning sea views.

Although it is impossible to enter the five-storey tower, one appreciates the genius talent of Audibert and the history of the Tower.

Moreover, when arriving in Bonnieux, look up at the bell tower of the Old Church to see the statue of the Virgin, a magnificent creation by Audibert.

An unfinished dream
Money and time are running out. His work will unfortunately never be completed since Philippe Audibert is caught up in death, struck with apoplexy at the age of 64

His heir will not finish this marvel of Bonnieux. So you can't see the sea but you can see the Etang de Berre.

Please note that this monument cannot be visited, you can just contemplate it and remain speechless in front of the imposing building. Many hikes will allow you to discover the surroundings of the Tour Philippe.
