The previous two tips are from 2020. I just came through this section last weekend (Sept 2023) on my roadbike and the track looks no longer like the photo above. There was a sign at the start of the road that read "DEAD SLOW: BROKEN SURFACE" and that said it all. You can get through there with a roadbike, sure, but I will not return there. Horrendous holes, washboard, and simply too long to be enjoyable.
