The last time I was here was in the late autumn of 2020, on the summer weekends you are actually never alone. Up the stairs and a tour of the cave I uploaded a video to Youtube, so you can see in advance what it looks like there - and how big the cave room is!

Impressive cave. I wasn't sure if you're really allowed up there because of the caution tape lying around. Has it been demolished or can you go up again? I then tried it cautiously, although the stairs with a missing step only seemed trustworthy to a limited extent.

Strategically favorable at 730 m above sea level. Located NN, halfway up the slope of the Peterfelsen, the naturally eroded limestone cave, one of the largest in the upper Danube valley, of the Jura rock of the Swabian Jura could be seen over several kilometers.
The storm-free portal of Peter's cave has a northern orientation and is located on the side of the rock facing the Danube. It is freely accessible via a wooden staircase with 54 steps. 🤩👍 Beautiful impressive cave - definitely worth a visit

We didn't go there due to time constraints and the stairs will no longer exist in 2024. But I'm sure that with enough time, appropriate caution and(!) enough experience you can still get into the cave. Whether the effort is worth it is up to you to decide.
