One of the most fascinating, hard yet little known climbs in Trentino, Passo Daone was the passage of the Giro d'Italia in 2015 (stage won by Mikel Landa in Madonna di Campiglio) and of the Giro Donne in 2022 (stage won by Kristen Faulkner in San Lorenzo Dorsino). Both sides, both Ches and Preore, have an average gradient of over 9%.

Between the Giudicarie, the Brenta and Adamello Dolomites, after the town of Montagne, with the hamlet of Binio, continuing along the road coming from Preore, you reach Passo Daone, at an altitude of 1,209 metres. Here there is a refuge with the possibility of refreshment and overnight stay. Starting from Preore, the ascent to the pass involves 9 kilometers in which you overcome almost 800 meters in altitude.
