Located on the Franco-Italian border, the Col de la Roue (Colle della Rhô) is perched at an altitude of 2,541 metres. The single-track path that joins the pass is technical and requires you to put your foot on the ground at times to push the mountain bike. The view at the top is superb, it's a sight to behold.

In the upper part of Bardonecchia there is an old military track that goes up the entire Rho valley to the border pass with France. In the middle of a high mountain environment and surrounded by peaks that exceed 3,200 meters, the track climbs very strongly, with sections that exceed 20% slope, and many of more than 15%. You have to push the bike in several sections, but the landscape is majestic. We arrive at the Piano dei Morti, where there is an old military barracks almost embedded in the rock. We cross a large area of pastures and climb the last few meters until we reach the neck where there are vast views towards both slopes. After a pause to contemplate the magnificent landscape, we return along the same track, enjoying the descent with views towards Bardonecchia and the bottom of the valley.
