Great view of the Schnalstal. There are so many hiking trails around the reservoir and the Similaun, as well as the Ötzi monument. All roads are well marked and easy to see even in the snow. Walking time to Similaun hut about 4 - 5 hours. On the Mastaun or the high Wiegespitz about the same time schedule. Also nice is the panoramic trail to Kurzrass. Or out of the Schnalstal.

Already looking into the Schnalstal, past the reservoir the road leads towards Kurzras. The beautiful view is a very nice tour, approx. 3200 HM. Is also approached by a cable car. In general, the area is short trimmed on the ski season, recognizable on the smooth slopes, so I can only recommend the area around the lake Vergnat.

Magnificent view of the lake. Especially in the early morning, when the sun is still in the east, the water surface shines in the most beautiful turquoise blue.

The round around the lake is about 8km long.
If all the parking spaces are occupied in the village again you drive on to the climbing park.
There are about 200 meters further along the road further parking.
Please remember that the parking spaces of the climbing park are private.
The round you start directly in the climbing park.

Really a very worthwhile hike I can only recommend. However, it is not a serious (black) migration (even with extension of the path along the northern mountainside). Although the circular route includes minor differences in altitude and also uneven terrain, this trail is still classified as light (blue).

The dam is currently closed (03.07.2019). A diversion leads to halfway up the south side of the dam. The climb to the lanes on the west side of the lake is very steep and slippery. He requires good footwear.
