A visit to the Oderteichs can only be recommended. It is located between Braunlage, St. Andreasberg and Claustal-Zellerfeld and is beautifully situated. In the summer you can also go swimming well. Hikers and mountain bikers can start from there beautiful and if necessary, extended tours, as parking is available.
The Oderteich is a historic dam. It was built from 1715 to 1722 by Andreasberger miners. Since 2010, it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site for the Upper Harz Water Regiment with other buildings.

Beautifully located stamp office of the HWN. Unfortunately, a nice seat and rest stop is missing. Nice to connect with a small tour around the great Oderteich.

Beautiful place for a break. Children can spend their free time here and there is also a stamp for the Harzer hiking pin.
When you come across the fairytale trail, be sure to come with sturdy shoes and especially with shoes that can get dirty, so the road is very muddy.
