Eben-Emael has been a museum since 1999 that can be visited on Sundays once a month. There are also guided tours in German.

The outdoor facilities are freely accessible. The traces of the at times very fierce battle for the fort are still obvious; all destroyed cannons and armor parts are still there.

Very close to the main entrance of the fort is the entrance to the tunnel leading to the Albert Canal. It had nothing to do with the fort, but only served as an underground entry and exit for trucks when the canal was enlarged. This meant that cumbersome serpentine journeys could be avoided.

The fort is located on the Albert Canal where you can make great bike rides along the river. The fort, steeped in history, is definitely worth a visit!

The Moulin Loverix is a watermill on the Jeker, located at Rue Wérihet 25 in Eben-Emael.

It is an undershot mill that functioned as a flour mill.

History
This mill already existed in 1800. She was hit by a Stuka bomb in 1940, which severely damaged the roof and water facade, but the mill and water wheel remained intact.

In 2005, the mill was restored and a café was established (le Moulin de Frangèle). The wheel was also repaired. In 2014, after renewed restoration, a pancake house and brasserie was built in the water mill.

The interior of the restaurant shows the cast iron transmission and the remaining two (of three) grinding chairs.

The mill is part of a farm complex that is partly built in natural stone. After the bomb impact, the water facade was made of brick
