The Neisse Bridge is actually called the double bridge, connecting the western (German) and eastern (Polish) parts of the Fürst-Pückler-Park. Until 2007, visitors to the park still had to show their ID if they wanted to cross the German-Polish border, which is marked by the Neisse River. Two successive historical pedestrian bridges over the Lusatian Neisse in the Fürst-Pückler-Park Bad Muskau are called double bridges. In 2003 the double bridge, which was destroyed in the war, was rebuilt. The two parts of the bridge meet on a small Neisse island, at the southern end of which there is a hydroelectric power station.
