The price of €2 for 24 hours is absolutely fine. There are 2 large parking spaces on the driveway to Eck and directly at the mountain inn, with an overview of the hikes and proper signage.

The mountain inn got a bit old. During our 6-day hike from Oberviechtach to the Großer Arber, this accommodation was the only one not recommended. Pretty rude and the breakfast next to it.

The fee is only € 2 per day. There are three parking spaces there. Two left and right of the country road and a slightly larger space behind the guest parking lot of the mountain inn.

The path that crosses the ski lift doesn't seem to exist anymore. Instead, you have to take the Goldsteig in a zigzag to the left and switch later, you get good prospects for it. Shortly after the start and shortly before the end of the lap around the smoke columns, it is uncomfortably steep and the path is in such a state that it hurts more than fun.

The hiking car park is large enough and costs 3 euros per day. At the edge there is a spring with fresh water and a Kneipp facility. This station can also be reached by bus.
The inn makes a very inviting impression - but we didn't try it out.

Lots of parking spaces for the inn and hiking parking next to it for little money. The food was good, traditional cuisine, highly recommended and top value for money.

The inn in Eck is in the middle of the “Twelve Thousands Tour”, where you can hike over 12 thousand-meter peaks to the Großer Arber.
But you can also start the shorter “Eight Thousand Meter Tour” from here.
The beer garden is very nice and a cold shandy after the hike is just great 👍🏻😊
Unfortunately I can't rate the food (yet).
