The Echowiese is a large forest clearing and is located between Allrode and Friedrichsbrunn.

"As you call into the forest, so it resounds" says a proverb, which is impressively confirmed on the Echo Meadow.

The best starting point for a hike to the Echowiese is on the outskirts of Allrode in the direction of Treseburg. First follow the signposted forest path to the natural monument Hohle Eiche. Unfortunately, this once mighty tree has completely collapsed. Continue on the forest path to the Echowiese, where the stamp box is located in the refuge.

The view over the Echowiese is very nice, especially in spring and summer, despite the lack of trees in some areas. A bench invites you to rest and in bad weather there is also a shelter nearby.

The HWN stamp office 57 is located at a crossroads between Friedrichsbrunn and the Rabetal. Further along the Luppbode to Treseburg and over the "Weißer Hirsch" vantage point to the arrow monument and at the "Schirmbuche" back to Friedrichsbrunn results in a beautiful and varied day hike.
