    North of Schladming belongs the "high trail" of the Silberkarhütte towards the village to the most beautiful paths. Untouched nature and no street noise let you really relax.

                A bit worn, but very easy to walk even with children of primary school age (alpine experience!).
                The existing ropes are actually only needed in one place where the path is slippery due to overflowing water.
                Important: Hiking boots and surefootedness are still strongly recommended.
                Tip: The "Fliegenpilz" farm at the lower end of the high trail. Delicious snacks and not as crowded as the Silberkarhütte.

                        As already indicated on a sign at the Silberkarhütte, the path is sometimes difficult to walk due to storm damage.
                        This warning is absolutely not exaggerated. In some places the path has broken away, steel cables are missing or their brackets have broken out of the wall and in other places they have been hastily replaced by mountain ropes. The wooded sections are currently heavily washed out and extremely slippery. In perfect condition, this path is certainly a pleasure, but at the moment I would advise against walking it.

                            In contrast to the gorge, there is practically nothing going on here. There are a few steeper sections, so hiking boots are a good idea. From time to time it is a bit exposed, so you should have that famous surefootedness and a head for heights. At the very bottom, the foresters have unfortunately brutally torn up a huge road into the forest, which is unfortunately totally over the top and destructive.
