    High above the spa town of Regen, the majestic ruin of Burg Weissenstein towers over a quartz rock. Although only a few walls and towers have survived the huge complex, you get a great impression of the former dimensions. Every two years a big knight's spectacle takes place at the castle. Otherwise, you can also explore the castle from April to October on your own and climb up to the keep - the climb is worth it, because the view is really unique.

                        06/25: The castle ruins are accessible. Climb the stairs and enjoy a fantastic 360-degree view. You can combine this with a visit to the "Eating House" directly in front. This is a museum about the Baltic poet Siegfried von Vegesack. A beautiful exhibition spread over three floors. Admission is €2.50 per person. Dogs are welcome.

                        The glass forest is also located in front of the castle. It is free to visit. Parking is free below.
