The castle La Rochepot (French Château de la Rochepot) is a castle in the French department of Côte-d'Or in the Burgundy region. It is located on a limestone cliff north of the town of La Rochepot (formerly La Roche-Nolay) about 15 kilometers southwest of Beaune and is listed since April 3, 2013 as Monument historique. [1]

Already in the 12th century, there was a fortified complex on the site, which was replaced in the 13th century by a castle at its present location. Renewed and expanded by Régnier Pot, his son Jacques and his grandson Philippe in the 15th century, she finally came through the families Montmorency, Silly and Legoux de La Berchère in the 17th century to François Blancheton, for which the associated Seigneurie 1741 raised to the county has been. During the French Revolution confiscated, the castle was finally auctioned off for demolition and then used as a quarry, so it was at the beginning of the 19th century, only a ruin.
