In 1613, at the present location of the green mill stood a post windmill. This was so badly damaged in February 1662 during a storm that it was demolished and replaced by a new building. The Grimersumer landowner buses made this mill from 1856 to a two-story gallery Dutchman, the most modern development of the classic windmill, rebuild. In 1857 she started operations and was named after her builder Bussensche mill. Until 1964 it was used commercially and then until 1972 for personal use.
