The ascent from Bayrischzell is approximately 5 km long and has a gradient of around 8%. In parts, the road even offers a bike path. With every meter of elevation gain, the view of the valley becomes more spectacular. The pass itself is less attractive, but just beyond the summit, beautiful views of the mountains open up. On the descent, watch out for the vibrating plates that were installed to accommodate the large number of motorcyclists. About halfway down the descent, there's a left turn toward Brannenburg. Particularly spectacular is a rock tunnel with an 18% gradient. The road is quiet and leads through a wild, romantic valley, past a small lake.
