                  The Hirn family is very broadly related to us. My great-great grandpa came from Retzstadt, his last name was Feser. He bought a farm in Essfeld and moved with his wife, a née Schmitt and the children Franz, Adam, Gertrud Kreszensia and Apollonia. Franz the oldest inherited the farm he was my father's godfather, my father's name was Gerhard Franz Mark. Adam stayed single. Gertrud got married in Sulzdorf. Apollonia married a blacksmith named Ohrberger, they lived and worked in Essfeld. The company still exists, it's called Landwehr and mainly makes lawnmowers.

                        We liked the house. Unusual in the area therefore also very noticeable.
                        We were able to sit outside for our snack in the best weather. The food is ok and the wine is good, but other restaurants are sure to have that too, or even better, and there are plenty of them on the tour.
