The Nasereit refuge is at an altitude of 1,523 meters and is in the finish valley.
The Zielbach falls from a height of 3220 meters from the Lodner and becomes the Partschins waterfall in the valley and flows into the Etsch.

Very well-kept hut, beautiful terrace, descent to the Partschinser waterfall not recommended, at most, if someone wants to walk 1000 steps downhill.

The Nasereit Hut is a “must” on the Meranerhöhenweg.
The Kaiserschmarren is “divine” and I have always had the challenge of making the portion. :-)
So, bring your hunger or share a portion for two.

In addition: Every year in September around 1,300 sheep are expected at the Nasereit refuge. Ask the tourist office for the exact date.
According to old farming tradition, the “Pamper” sheep are driven from the mountain summer pastures in the Zieltal to the Nasereit refuge, where they are received by the farmers and brought into the valley.

Only accessible on foot:
Ascent with the Texelbahn cable car and approx. 1 hour walk to Nasereit on the Meraner Höhenweg No. 24 in the Texelgruppe Nature Park.

We were here at the sheep drive, where around 1300 sheep 🐑🐏 returned home.

It is a beautiful hike
Highlights are certainly the gorge of the 1000 steps as well as the ice yard and the transition Stettinerhütte to Pfelders. The Meraner Höhenweg is very varied and runs in a beautiful landscape.

Great hut, great service. Be sure to try the goulash with dumplings, it tastes great😊 It's best to keep dogs on a leash, as the hut has many free-ranging farm animals (cows, free-ranging chickens and rabbits). The owners don't understand that, it's no joke😉
