The Roman Catholic branch church of St. Laurentius is located in Oberbrunn, a part of the market town of Ebensfeld in the Upper Franconian district of Lichtenfels. This Baroque country church was built in the mid-18th century according to plans by Johann Jakob Michael Küchel. The church belongs to the Ebensfeld parish of the Annunciation of Mary in the Gottesgarten pastoral district of the Coburg deanery of the Archdiocese of Bamberg. Located directly on the trail, it invites you to visit.

A meeting point for cyclists: The regional Main cycle path leads through the village of Oberbrunn, which has a population of 206. And there is a small "bicycle service station" here. Air pumps, various tools and a "hose machine" are available.
The center of the village is the baroque "St. Laurentius Church", which was built around the middle of the 18th century according to plans by the famous architect Michael Küchel. In memory of this, the people of Oberbrunn celebrate the church fair on the 3rd Sunday in August.
The Main and its floods were what prompted the village's founders to avoid the flat valley areas and settle near the slope. Economically, there were always close ties with the larger neighboring village of Ebensfeld, first through a carriage ferry and since 1892 through a bridge over the Main.

The one-class school, completed in 1959 with a great deal of personal effort, was converted into a community center after it was incorporated into the market town of Ebensfeld and joined the local school association.

In the Middle Ages, the Liebenburg Castle towered over the village, which was first mentioned in documents in 1126 AD. After severe damage in the Peasants' War and the Thirty Years' War, the ruins on the "Schlossberg" were abandoned by their noble lords and served as a quarry.
