In the village of Karwice, located on the southern shore of Lake Lubie, there is a neo-Gothic palace, built in the first half of the 19th century. It is the former estate of the von Brockhausen family, which is an impressive residence with an observation tower and a landscape park next to the palace. Currently, the facility belongs to the Ministry of National Defense, serving as a training and recreation center.
In September 1994, the famous Drawsko dinner took place in the palace with the participation of the commanding staff of the armed forces and the then president Lech Wałęsa. During the meeting, a vote was taken to result in the resignation of the Minister of National Defense, Piotr Kołodziejczyk, and the president's takeover of control over the WSI.
