Visited on May 6, 2018 in beautiful sunshine, the café was inviting with seats inside and outside in the garden. With tables under large umbrellas, or in the shade of old chestnuts and oaks. The service is friendly and fast and, fortunately, does not know the phrase "only jug outside" - I still enjoyed a double portion of coffee with the wonderful buckwheat and blueberry cake. Moderate prices complete the pleasant picture. Please note the additional information on the café's homepage:

I would like a real highlight to be accessible around the clock, 365 days a year - and this is clearly not the case here!

Sunday drivers in the kommot community are strongly advised, because the secluded location in the middle of the Oldenburger Münsterland deserves a special mention.
The opening times of the café are:
On Sundays and public holidays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturdays (only from May to September) 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
(For groups by arrangement)
So just go there is not - at least not from Monday to Friday.
Too bad.

Very good destination for a bike tour from Lohne. Very easy and quick to reach with a normal bike (not an e-bike). Great farm with a lovely atmosphere under the trees. Only open on Sundays from 2 p.m. Very friendly service and plenty of homemade cakes in all variations. The trip is definitely worth it for a Sunday afternoon tour with coffee and cake!!! Another insider tip for Lohner....
