In the local history museum next to the church there is an exhibition on the way of life of the Sorbian / Wendish farmers. The exhibition draws pictures of the farm, the hard work in the field, the former life of the children, but also of festivals, celebrations and the many living customs. The 20 variants of the Lower Sorbian costume shown are a particular attraction. Spinning room stories, legends and fairy tales of the Spreewald provide insights into mysticism.

The journey back in time to the Slavic Middle Ages begins right behind the local history museum. Following a timeline you reach the small settlement with five mine houses, which was opened in 2013. "Stary lud" - "The old people" is the name of the settlement section that takes you back to a time when Slavs settled in what is now Brandenburg and the Lusizer and Milzen tribes were home to Lusatia.
